Fast forward to a world where life is overruled by technology, where nature is now replaced with artificial look-alikes. In a world like that, art to us would be mechanically simulated nature. Plants are presented in glass cases, to preserve nature in a synthetic realm. Galleries and museums showcase the presence of nature shining fluorescent light on the old, almost like a sculpture preserved for future generations to experience. Nature now is modulated by machines in a temperature and light-controlled environment. This new realm opens up a new dichotomy between technology and nature, where artificial intelligence is used to keep, what once flourished on earth, alive. This world is a result of machines slowly taking over natures’ functions until a point where the existence of landscapes is grim and the new earth would be comprised of concrete and cables. This opens up endless possibilities of having an artificially synthesized utopian world.
